If I tell you of how these days and nights make runs alike
and I send my heart and soul in you for a glimpse
of the grandeur my world breathes its life in dreams
and of the thick darkness it assails to come to life
you will ask for all the colors concealed in my heart
and see your eyes full in what this separation can reveal.
Such darkness that makes silhoutes fear and crumble in the cold
and you wrapped in your arms alone on an unknown walk
the silence when calls you names and you fear turning afts
you ache to hold a hand to let go fears in the warmth
if ever such a color you wish to see, see in such a night
and if not then deem it too dark for your rights.
If ever your life gives you one morning from my dreams
your oakwood cottage among some valleys green
and pines brushing high a new indigo morning sky
clouds from heaven melting on your sprawling lawn
stand up to your window bathing in scintillating rays
and let your heart cast into a butterfly and go
and see it as it flaps its wings on your favorite flower blooming bright
then take a deep deep breath and close your eyes
to see in abundance what good colors separation can reveal
